ZOO
Here's the pics I promised forever ago from Dominik's zoo visit. He had a great time throwing the bark and I couldn't resist putting him in the clam shell since he is my little pearl. Since my last post, I went to that school I mentioned and graduated. We sat in class and played with pig parts the whole time. They had pig's feet that we practiced suturing on and then we did a venous cutdown which is cutting into the ankle to find the major vein in there. Then, you carefully cut it with a surgical blade until you can get an IV catheter in there. It's pretty much the last option to give a person fluids when all other methods have failed so needless to say, I'll probably never do this in reality. We also got to cut up a pig's heart and then we were lucky enough to get lungs and trachea all attached together so we could practice intubation. Overall it was pretty cool except for that horrible dead pig smell.
Dominik is finally getting all his molars in so he has been whiny and irratable lately. It's irritating quite often, but we try to be understanding because I'm sure it's pretty painful for him. Hopefully the whole process will be over soon so I can get my sweet guy back and he can feel better.
Other than that, just dreading the upcoming annual training. This means 2 weeks where I pretty much won't see my boys except maybe a day here or there. We are being forced to stay in barracks on base because the people up north don't get to home at night so it's not fair. I thought we all got over things like that not being fair in high school, but I guess not. Boo!!
Well, guess I'll get back to being lazy.

What a cute picture. He looks so cute in that huge shell.
Love the Pictures. He should love the Beach this 4th of July. Just think of the sand everywhere. See you in a couple of weeks.
